Yes and no. Centaur play is but a sub-group of computer chess, which means that many of its topics aren't specific to this forum. Just off the top pf my head, the following ones wouldn't be of specific interest to centaur players:
That's not to say that you can't be searching for information on any of those topics, but there's already other forums around to find out about them.
So what would be the use for such a goal-limited forum? Basically to fill the void left. Ten years ago, the "Rybka Forum" was the de facto place for "Freestyle" talk, but once Rajlich left the house, it slowly stopped being so. More recently, infinitychess.freeforums.org/portal.php (self-appointed home) stopped working. Currently, discussions are scattered, so here's a place to glue them together.
As a side note: I'm only providing a template, other players should fill it with content. My role aims to be reactive, supportive at most.
- Clone wars.
- Hyper-bullet games and related engine tuning.
- Programming.
