Ozy,
I want to thank you for having invited me on this forum, where I hope we will be able to discuss freely -- be it politics, or the Eman chess engine.
What happened today on Ed's forum was a farce. I would not only understand, but also condone moderation toward posts with personal attacks -- but that was the only missing part in the moderation. The inherent racism of Germanic populations has been extensively documented (I refer here [from memory] mainly to the works of Emmanuel Todd and his numerous interviews on French television; anyway, it has a clear articulation in Lutheranism and the "free will" understanding of most protestant sects), and, while I don't want to sound paranoiac, I sensed it, although masked, hidden. The moment Ed intervened with his condescending remarks, the "female" (I mean Thorsten Czub; he behave like a hysteric woman) felt immediately embolden enough to restart his crusade against everybody who does not think like "her".
And... I am not a "right wing nationalist". I consider myself a marxist (I decided to finally finish reading "The Capital"), and, politically, I am an old school socialist -- something like French communists under Georges Marchais in the seventies. This new, "woke" "leftism" is an aberration, un avortement.

Hi and welcome.
I didn't know Eman was a forbidden topic too, live and learn. TBH, I didn't even establish any policy regarding clones and such, because people interested in Centaur Chess usually go for the strongest engines only, leaving anything else (be it a clone or derivative) outside their scope of interest. If you want to discuss that one, or any other you might feel is of use for analysis, be my guest. As long as it's posted on the appropriate sub-forum... if not don't worry, I'll point you to the right place or move it for you.
Speaking of organization, how do you feel about changing the name of this thread to "New Member's Welcome Mat"? Others might want to add their story, this is a typical thread in most forums, but as I said somewhere else, I didn't want to populate the forum with content, just the basics.
From the moment Ed started participating in the thread, I was suspicious of the question he chose to ask, I answered as if it were an honest one, but I could see inmediatly it was just a ruse to quickly fish out the dissonant elements. As he said shortly after, he didn't have much time to search for himself. That was as much rope as I was willing to give him and refrained to engage him anymore on that thread, not to the point of blocking him, like the other two MSM mouthpieces, but just practically ignoring him.
His post for de-blocking the thread speaks for itself, anyone can read it and draw their own conclusions, mine is clear, we won't have fair judgement there, so I invited several like-minded members to share their views and info here. Let's see for how long they endure the "official regime".
I've lived in Germany, and even though I was only there for 100 days, like with governments, I had enough to form an opinion, Germans don't like foreigners. Which is a pity because their country is beautiful and their women are, shall be say, interesting.
Politically, I'm of communist upbringing, and a member of the Spanish communist party myself, but I left when I saw they couldn't think for themselves.

I agree that German women are interesting. :-) My personal experience with Germans was quite positive, but it is always the same bias: you meet with persons with a similar background, educated and open-minded intellectuals. (And beautiful blonds...) Then, face to face, it is completely different from this ethereal world. In life, we are protected by our status, our name, and we are responsible, we can face consequences if we speak or act like a moron. Not here. I remind all my students that we are all born noble, and that our noblesse and dignity should never be forgotten. But it is clear the moment one starts typing on his keyboard, there is seldom any dignity left.
Eman: no, I am not really interested in the topic. I downloaded somehow the engine, I like the options it has, but it is a SF derivative, and I simply don't use SF for reasons I explained on CCC. But I am fed by the whole GPL stories of people who have pillaged somebody's work (Rybka/Larry Kaufman's evaluation) and then imagine they are saints.

Writing, as opposed to speaking, offers the luxury of time. Time to reflect on what you're doing, in that sense, not unlike chess, when you make a bad move or say something you later regret, it only becomes worse the more time you had to think about it.
On the other hand, anonymity gives you, in fact, the option to see people for what they are, because they no longer have to content with repercussions, they can simply go back to their real lives. Kant would have applied the hypothetical imperative to this kind of online behavior, no doubt.

What happened today on Ed's forum was a farce. Now the farce is over. He couldn't bring everyone to his point of view, I guess.

What happened today on Ed's forum was a farce. I spoke too soon. I didn't expect him to turn it into an opera buffa. The new rule clearly expresses his view on freedom of speech (pretty much what passes for it in western countries anyway).

He aligned himself with Thorsten, who kept repeating ad nauseam the same mantra, that all peoples were equal in this respect. But it is something one could expect from a German.
And this is, of course, absolutely false. We cannot, in any way, equalize Germans, Croatians, Western Ukrainians with other European peoples, not probably even with the Balts, although I have to check about them.
The other thing Ed missed is to read the thread and to see who started to insult the other participant in the debate, even when he was ignored, when posts were clearly addressed to somebody else. I would have deleted his hysteric insults and let the debate go on -- that would have been reasonable.
You are quite right that he condones Thorsten's stance and ideology.
Anyway, I will refrain from taking part in these discussions any more. I just want to get somehow Chris new engine and leave the ProDeo forum for good.

In other countries, the political movement in question was/is really a minority. In these three countries, it was quite massive in WWII, and in Croatia in the nineties when they rehabilitated, just like Ukraine, most of their WWII war criminals.

Bosnian and Albanian Nazi collaborators also came to life.

This new, "woke" "leftism" is an aberration, un avortement. Conspiracy theorist that I am, it's difficult for me not to be very suspicious about the success of this movement/ideology, well beyond the capabilities of its alleged support base. Specially when its direct consequence is the rise of far-right movements everywhere.

I am also a conspiracy theorist, especially since I saw the discrepancies between what was really happening here, in Yugoslavia/then Serbia, and how it was reported in the Western media.
Conspiracies not only exist, but I feel that lately, the ones ruling this world have lost all common measure with humanity. The nukes, the biolabs, the destruction of economy, it is all way beyond I could imagine just a few years ago. With each new info, new piece of the puzzle, I am more and more persuaded that they will try to do what they planned to do: decimate the human population, destroy countries and civilizations, transform Earth in a botanic garden for the "happy 1%", with robots serving them.

I see two problems: - Robots aren't there yet.
- What would that elite do with all that power and no subjects to exert it on?

- Human neo-robots? - I am convinced that they don't think so far.

So, were you among protesters on the streets of Belgrade yesterday? Given its history, it doesn't seem like the intelligent thing to do
