For the second period (2020/2021) yes, a very grave fracture from a fall, due to very brittle bone. The first time (2016/2017) because of a bad/late operation on the knee. A very simple procedure, but there's no money, so they took half a year. I sued the health care system, but I'm still waiting for a court date. The justice system is also underfunded. Where there's no shortage of money, is when it comes to Ukraine and fighting Russia. Things don't happen in a vacuum.

Indeed, Ozy, things don't happen in a vacuum. In my youth, there was a comics I read -- Alan Ford, and a famous episode: Superhic, who stole from the poor to give to the rich. I did not know back then it was a documentary.

We know it all quite well -- in fact, the new Chinese coal plants are much "cleaner" than anything we speak of here, in the "West". And there is coal everywhere, btw.
Meanwhile -- so far good results on Lichess. Still facing lower ranked players, but I play better from game to game, making less and less blunders. I switched to longer time controls and it is much more rewarding imho -- I feel that I am in control of my own game. I expect soon more serious opponents.
How is your health, dear Ozy? Is there an alternative way to fight osteo and can I help in some way? Some medications could be much cheaper here.
PS: I traveled to K. to work, that's why I did not answer here.

My mother has problems with her knees, and I remember she took a thingy that helped her with the cartilage. I'll try to consult with a doctor working at the university. Perhaps they could help.
